Background

In internationalising its education, the Government of Vietnam has been supporting different forms of collaboration and investment in education, encouraging student pursuing education from countries with international standard education systems. It is estimated around 100,000 Vietnamese student studying overseas every year. UK is among the three most preferred English speaking study destination for Vietnamese students. By the end of 2014, 4,380 Vietnamese students enrolled in the UK higher education institutions. Every year, around 3,100 new student visas are granted. In Vietnam, the UK also ranked third in the countries having TNE programmes with Vietnamese partners with more than 50 programmes attracting nearly 7,000 students.

The Vietnam - UK Education Forum is to provide a platform for Vietnamese and UK institutions to meet, discuss and explore potential collaboration in a wide range of areas from teaching, learning to joint delivery and joint research.
